The ryzen 5 3500 is fine for modern games, reasonably good single core performance and just enough threads for the majority of titles. I doubt it would hold back the 3070 in a lot of cases.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I wouldn't lose sleep over this. I don't see it bottlenecking your GPU except in extreme cases.

CPU! @ 1080p a 6c/6t cpu

RAM! ryzen dies at single channel.

also ah that psu!

something like this is better, as theres no point with having a 3070 with single channel ram and a 3500.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

A) As of recently, the community is really not liking the word bottleneck

And also, you are fine. If you build it and notice a legitimate issues and believe you know a cause, come back.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Current setup: Ryzen 5 3600, MSI MPG B550, 2x8GB DDR4-3200, RX 5600 XT (+120 core, +320 Mem), 1TB WD SN550, 1TB Team MP33, 2TB Seagate Barracuda Compute, 500GB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair 4000D Airflow, 650W 80+ Gold. Razer peripherals.

Also have a Alienware Alpha R1: i3-4170T, GTX 860M (≈ a 750 Ti). 2x4GB DDR3L-1600, Crucial MX500

Wow, I didn't even read the original parts list. I see Ryzen 5 3xxx and just assume it has 12 threads. Guess I learned that lesson. Also yeah, man the PSU can be a thing of nightmares. Wouldn't hurt to go dual channel either. But yeah, you right.

Your pc is good enough, no need to worry about it much.

All you need to do is buy another stick of 8gb ram.

I am already planning on getting more ram but should I get duel channel ram instead and if I did would I just need to replace the 8gb that is already there?

Add the same thing with what you have, no need to get a dual kit.

Just get any old ATX size PSU with the cables you need. The PSU you were buying was not a standard size anymore, and because none of us trust them, we are asking you to not buy it.

the PSU doesn't give enough power to the PC to use a RTX3060 Ti I reccomend going 650w so 500 I think it wouldn't make the cut since the 30 series has power consumption spikes

Lets just leave it at, they don't exactly use "quality" components in their power supplies.
