New phone around 5"

oskar23

Hey.

I totally dont follow whats out there currently and im basically looking for a phone that has good battery life and is around 5".

My galaxy s7 after 4 years is giving up and i consider getting another s7 but if there is something new worth trying i will take a look. Used s7 are under $200 so i have budget about $300 for a phone. Im not a fan of paying over 1k for a phone.

5" nowadays is actually small for a screen nowadays. I don't think I know any myself. But for suggestions for a phone under $300 I'd say look at the Moto G Power, OnePlus Nord N10 or if you want to stick to Samsung, the Samsung A51

A 5' phone is considered pretty small, really. Other than going used you're probably going to have to get a larger screen size. Any particular reason why you want a 5'?

Eh depends on your hand size. Plus these older phones might have a 5' screen, not a 5' body.

Yeah but that's always a given no matter what. On the average, a phone with a screen under 5" is a one hander. Even the iPhone SE which has a 4.7" screen with giant bezels was designed as a one hander.

Sure, I use my 8 Plus with one hand too. Not saying that you can't make even the biggest phones work in one hand given all the assist features available. That doesn't mean its very comfortable though. By using a phone with one hand, I mean a little like this:

I actually find using a phone that small to be harder with one hand than a larger one.

With that budget, it's tricky to get something that's both a worthy upgrade and still relatively compact. The Pixel 4a may be a worthwhile pick, although it's officially $350 — it's about the same size but packs a much larger screen and a better main camera.

I dont want anything above 5.5" and at the same time i dont want to spend 1k on a phone.  That's why i have no problem with buying another s7. Just wondering if theres something better for similar price. Im very simple person and dont need any newest features that recent phones have. If it calls, battery lasts and takes good pictures im in heaven. I like to use phone with one hand so i hate bigger screens

ahhh 5" is not a thing anymore I think. your options are something like the Iphone SE, iphone 12 mini, galaxy S10e, galaxy a10e, google pixel 4a (non 5G).  and in general the base version of the galaxy S family didnt really grow in overall size. (im pretty sure that all of the phones i mentioned are physically smaller then an S7. Its best if you can go to a store and feel what seets right in your hand)
