Questioning my literacy

Go to solution Solved by SEAL62,

You should use DIMMA1 and DIMMB1 (or A2 and B2) to use your RAM in dual channel.

The middle graphic of the installation recommendations shows perefctly how it's done.

Hi, new motherboard just arrived and I've never actually set up a motherboard myself before and I'm just wondering which ram slots in supposed to use if i have 2 sticks of ram. From what I understand I'm supposed to only use one of the channels because it's faster but the diagram below in the user manual shows the ram spaced apart so I'm not really sure what to do and I'm questioning my reading comprehension so any help would be greatly appreciated!20210308_112104.thumb.jpg.152d184dd78ffa70733e7ed1b3117272.jpg

"Roses are red, violets are blue.

Memory goes in slots four and two."

It's always about using the outside-most pairs and always skipping one slot, as the even slots are paired up and the odd slots are paired up.
