I'm waiting for Amazon and their no-questions-asked 30-day return policy. MC's return policy is very generous in a lot of ways, but it only allows for 15 days.

MC hasn't been allowing online reservations for RTX cards...or anything more substantial than a 1030 really. The stock is there (ok, quite possibly gone at this point), but you have to go into the store to get it. That's all "Unavailable Online" means, and I am seeing cards in stock.

The 3060's say "LIMITED AVAILABILITY", but they're in the Westmont store, which is 1.5 hours away, compared to Chicago's 1 hour.

Don't need a GT 1030.

I got my trusty GTX 650 Ti BOOSTs that support macOS Big Sur!
GT 1030 doesn't do that.

I don't need it. I just returned a motherboard elsewhere because I don't need the upgrade. But that 3060 XC would fit into the new tiny, baby case I bought for the lulz...but then I'd need to buy a new SFX PSU, which bumps the price to $500 total. Nope, can't/won't do it.

Although I could buy that 3060 XC and resell it for $700+...

Electricity, electricity, electricity!
Hold on, I'm holding up a Micro Center.

Ignore the fact that I don't have a license, and have no phone (so no navigation), plus I don't know where charging stations are.

Oh yeah!
Grab the busted flip phone, tape a working phone image on it, and pretend to have the KGB on speed dial.

Where's the keys...

To be fair, even though you don't have a license, preferring electric cars is a good thing because they're more enjoyable to drive, so you'll have more fun when you get around to it

Doesn't matter what the "inventory" says, I went in the last 2 days straight at opening and hung around (loitered) for the second day for 30 minutes updating the website checking on  3080s. They showed 4 models the first day (2 msi and one 2 asus) and 3 the 2nd day(EVGA) it showed in stock but when they "searched" for them they were gone. So on the second day I decided to get a 3060 for a build and inventory showed 5 different models in stock also. No luck not in store. On my way out the door I noticed 3060s and some other big boxes (couldnt read them) locked in a cage. I asked could I buy one of those and was told "Those are sold already"

So either Microcenter is somehow selling them online (business maybe) or some employees are scalping.

But magically when a $1900 and up 3090 shows it is in stock, it is actually in stock.
