Eh, depending on the game a 1050Ti is usually marginally faster, and in some cases can easily be half again faster than a 770. Kepler has aged like fine milk.

Realistically the best bet at this point if you absolutely need a decent card is something like a 960 4GB since those can be found for around $120-140 usually. Right on par with a 1050Ti performance wise.

Wait until you can actually buy a decent card for $250 instead of blowing it all on a card worth less than half that.

You'd just have to stalk eBay and hope you get lucky. Though it looks like the price on 4GB cards has finally inflated, now those seem to be going for 160-180, at which point it starts to become a questionable purchase decision.

Lower your settings and wait for prices to go down or more money by that time. I am guessing you have a RX 570, in that case, upgrading to a GTX 1050 could be considered a down grade in many games.

well if you're sure that it's GPU giving you issues and a new one would solve it

if you think the pricing is fine, go for it

personally would hardly pay $200 for a 1050ti, especially if you already have a rx570, which i think is about equivalent, if not very close in perf?

Just now after visiting your profile I realized you have an RX570 and not a GTX570 lol.

From what I have found though, you could just drop from Ultra to High settings and almost double your fps to 90. You'll probably not see a difference.

You'd really bite your ass if you bought a 1050Ti now for $240 and then in 2 months (or whenever) it's worth $70.

look at my profile it should tell all my specs

System specs on your profile say you have a RX570 and 1600. The 570 is pretty much on par with the 1050ti and cheaper used at the moment. Honestly waiting a few months is your best bet. Nvidia have said that stock is going to be pretty slim for most of the first half of the year so I would say waiting for a sub $300 cards to come back in stock (1660 supers and possibly 2060s) at reasonable prices. I'm stuck in the same boat with my 570, though my game performance is pretty good so lowering your settings might wield better results.

This whole thing isn't all because of the pandemic, yes manufacturing was hit really hard around March-April last year and we are still experiencing some of the impact that had. But the price of bitcoin going up- leading to mining coming back in a big way+ demand for GPUs hitting an all time high amongst gamers as gaming generally has increased in popularity massively over the last year and a half (this could be put down to the pandemic too though). There is also often low stock at the start of the year due to the lunar new year in China, but never to this scale.
