Speedtest on the same WiFi connection. Phone has way faster upload speed.

ZephCloud
Go to solution Solved by ZephCloud,

i finally found the problem...it's msi dragon center's lan manager...i've disabled it and the upload speed is great...
msi dragon center is only good for updating drivers now...i've disabled everything...gaming mode/user scenario/storage boost will keep on changing my power plan every few seconds...

speed test and event.jpg

Is there anyway to make the pc to have higher upload speed?

Attached are the screenshot of the speedtest .

I did at the same room, holding the phone next to the pc's wifi antenna. Only 1 is running the test at a time.

Thats an oddly low upload speed for having 158 on the phone and 3 on the PC... Are you using a wired connection on the PC? Thats not normal.

Use ethernet instead of wifi

Purchase a plan that offers higher upload speed from your internet provider. What is your current plan's advertised upload speed?

I just realised the 3mbps upload speed is the PC! I assumed it was the phone.

Better wifi card or moving the antenna might help. What wifi adapter is currently being used?

The difference would be that you phone seems to have a better transmitter. The PC transmitter seems really low in comparison, however.

It you have another computer or device on your network that you could plug in the wifi router directly you could test a file transfer between the pc on the local network.

Either a new wifi card or going ethernet would give your pc higher upload speeds.

3Mbps seems way too long.

Do you have something that throttles the connection perhaps?

You have to find a way to connect with ethernet even temporarily for a few minutes so we know if the issue still occurs or not. If it doesn't then the issue is with the WiFi.

ok i did what you said...below are the results of using the cable which lay all over the floor...and a powerline adapter...the powerline is a bit lower because of poor wiring behind the fixed wall cabinets..i think...

@ZephCloudwhere are the antennas located? Back of the computer or a stand on top of it? Is there a screen/display/monitor between them and the access point, or a masonry/concrete wall?

nothing is blocking the wifi. it's sticking to the wall..i don't think it's the wifi's problem..should be something wrong with my pc settings...even on a ethernet cable the upload speed is only 9.1mbps
