MSI GL65 9SC Worth it?

Hey there,

Someone wants to sell me an msi Gl65 9sc for 750$ CAD. It's got a 1650 and 8gb of ram, however the ram and storage can be upgraded. He says he thought it was the 144hz model but windows only says it's 60hz?

 

Is he being dishonest? Is this a good price?

Do you happen to know which model exactly??? There are 3 different models with different processors in them, either a 9th gen i5 or i7.

i5 9300H Oh, and I just confirmed it's a 60hz panel

Ok, I think its a great entry level laptop but know that laptops tend to run hot, especially true for the 9th gen Intel chips. I'd personally look to see if I can score a deal on a new machine that is marked down as RTX 3000 mobile is coming out as retailers want to prepare new inventory by selling off old.

Okay, so you think it's better off I wait or take this offer? Because I'm in no big rush I just wanted to know if it was a good deal or not so much

I'd recommend to wait and see if there is better offers, especially current gen stock. Especially ~$1000 (USD that is), they'll drop the price quickly to sell them off.
