Posted January 29, 2021 For idle, it doesn't really matter for as long as the CPU is not under load, but I'd expect between 30-40 oC. For load, depending on frequency and the type of load/program that is running, anything under 75 oC should be great. These are temperatures that I find to be acceptable for any CPU and are based on my subjective opinion. Posted January 29, 2021 depends on your cooler, your case and airflow and ambient temps. ryzen has quite high idle temps, so don't worry about those too much. with the stock cooler, you might see temps reaching 85-90 under stress test and 75-80 under gaming and that's fine. with a good air cooler or aio, you would usually be below 80 in stress tests and below 70 in gaming. There are also several other factors depending on fan orientation, your chassis, and your cooler, with most reputable coolers knocking the gaming performance down to around 50, and with an AIO or water cooling, even less. Don't necessarily take my word for it. But if they're up at 90C for you, that's completely normal and an intentional design. also check online for reviews of it. You are fine, but if you have a gpu, just fold with the gpu, without the cpu, as the cpu is not that effective at folding.
