Friends newly built PC and reinstalled windows freezes

We fixed it either it was the sata ports or that XMP was off

Okay so my friend built a new PC with a 3600 and a 1660 (not sure about other specs) and he installed windows 10 pro from usb and everytime he like opens something the PC locks up for like 30 or 40 seconds

You might need to contact your friend, as there is way more info needed to make an educated guestimate. 😉

Preferable as much PC specs if possible and how the install was done.
And if possible some log screenshots from the event manager (but thats only usefull if it even logs something and is findable 😉 )

Windows was installed via usb as mentioned. Had to use speccy since it was the only one installed

If he remove HDD, does i still remain? Looks like storage errors all over could be the reason for the stuttering. Did he update bios on mobo?

Removing the HDD doesn’t get rid of it. I don’t think the mobo is updated. He also has another issue where it says windows is not activated but he signed in with a MS account that had license

havent seen screenshot as crusty as this one for a long time, and with speccy to top it off(?)

 

definitely give crystaldiskinfo a try, check for disk error

 

if no error, try changing sata port

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

The screenshot was crusted with bad wifi and discord, can I have a direct link to the download since it will be faster then
