well it depends.

a game like battlefield or call of duty, it probably costs a lot since they need to have a lot of people coding and creating textures and such.

because of the amount of people working on it daily the cost will increase significantly.

so imagine having 150+ people working 37 hours or more every week on a game, take the average salary for such jobs in the respective country and add a lot more money and there you have it.

meanwhile a smaller indie game like Legion TD2 that has less than 6 developers (afaik) is gonna cost a lot less.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

It varies heavily between different titles. GTA 5 for example has 265 million USD budget.

Obviously depends a LOT on the game, but the usual AAA titles are typically in the $100-250M range, most of which usually being marketing.

Can't give numbers right now, but it's close to movies with AAA titles. Much less with small studios and indie devs.

Most of the costs are for wage and utility costs (rent, electricity etc.). Some might go towards hardware and external resources such as licensing.

you can make an AA game for 50k which might even look better than AAA game that costs millions, but it won't have the same scope and depth. So answer is... millions.
