Did you look up companies locally?

How much do you want to diy here?

Did you make a list of hard requirements like iops, space, form factor, protocols?

What is your backup plan?

$90k isn't going to cover it.

You are looking at enterprise level equipment for this.  A 4tb flash SAS drive is around $1000. To get to 500TB you're going to need $125,000 in drives alone. If you want to use RAID for redundancy, double or quadruple the amount needed for storage. This doesnt include the server itself.

You don't need an Epyc cpu for this.

A single mid tier Xeon is more than enough.

https://www.broadberry.com/petarack.php

This will give you an idea of what you are looking at.

Main Computer: CPU - Ryzen 5 5900x Cooler - NZXT Kraken x53  RAM - 32GB Corsairsrair Vengeance Pro GPU - Zotac RTX 3070 Case - Lian Li LanCool II RGB (White) Storage - 1TB Inland Premium M.2 SSD and 2x WD 2TB Black.

Backup Computer: CPU - Ryzen 7 3700x Cooler - CoolerMaster ML240 V2 RAM - 32GB G.Skill RipJaws GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1070 FE Case - Cougar QBX Storage - 500GB WD Black M.2 SSD

So you have a unlimited budget but xeon cpus are too expensive? The cpu will be a very small amount of the budget here. The issue with epyc is its much more rare and harder to find in storage systems.

What drive config do you plan on using?

Why not spec out systems from supermicro resellers or dell/hp/lenovo.

Id probably just get something like a supermicro 36bay 4u, fill it with 16tb drives, and dual xeons.

You don't need epyc, 1tb of ram or server 2019 to store videos.

You are either trolling or the worst tech ever. I would guess that you are about 14 years old?

What specs do you need? Your nas doesn't need to be fast enough to edit video, just to get the video to the workstation

there fairly low end systems, id rather get a supermicro/dell/hp/lenovo system if it was me. Better hotswap bays and more flexible with hardware.

Not a huge brand in the server world, and they don't have high sensity servers that you would want here.

Dell/HP/Lenovo should ship to you. Id get something like a r7515 and a 60 bas das if you can't get the 36bay supermicro and need lots of hdds.

How many bays do you need? What is your planned raid config?

Seriously, do you really need this for a new YouTube channel? How fast are you growing? How long have you been on YouTube? What is your subscription growth rate? How many videos are you making per week?

This whole post screams of dream build that will never materialize.

Those initial 24 will surely be in a raid also, won't they?

So you only have 4u of space?

Thats gonna limit your options if you want 48 bays, as there aren't many top loaders out there.

How deep can it be, most of the top loading servers are very deep.

Whats your drive config, what drives are you using?
