And the client is....

Well, didn't see that one comin'! Genuinely thought it was Linus himself, just because.

And with one on top in the middle it wouldn't be a triangle either my dear chicken nugget, it's a stepped pyramid :P  (no offence, of course!)

Pretty sure that they mentioned the client already had a monitory, so with that extra 3 I'm guessing they are going to use a 2x2 config.

So wait a minute - DBrand is using that monstrosity to design...

Phone skins (and whatever else it is they do)?

And how on earth did they get the 3090s?

I hate to ruin the party but it's never going to be a balls to the wall PC if it doesn't have four GPU's in it. SLI is just one trick but there are lots of other things you can do with 1+ GPU's, and the fun multiplies when you have four (or more) :P

I already pitched an idea to Alex for what I would consider an over the top PC setup (a system that has FOUR 1600W power supplies in it), but I can understand you guys have your hands full. Your job at LMG after all is to make videos and not get elbow deep in custom hardware fabrication. Few actual users tinker with server grade stuff on a daily basis or run a server board as their daily driver.

I do like the finished product. Alex did an outstanding job here. The RGB is awesome but that monitor choice really is perplexing. d-brand certainly has the cash to throw around on stuff, even if it's more expensive than it is useful.

Merry Christmas to you all!

I dunno, but somehow this feels like something is missing here. Or did I miss something? Now dbrand is the company making the custom phone skins and stuff like that, right? I know they sponsor a lot of content of LTT, so was this basically a sneaky fun way of simply sponsoring a small video series? I mean the company itself will surely not need or really use that build. While I admit it's really cool looking, it's a nightmare for any office use. (And the 3 monitors are simply stupid... no way around that)

I just feel there are so many questions about the why and barely any answers. Sure it was a cool project, but guessing that it will only end up as a showpiece somewhere in an office building makes it even more pointless. (Unless they made it for a specific person.. or maybe it was in in-company lottery for a giveaway?)

Honestly I would love to get some detail about the why...
