5000 Ryzen on AB350 G ITX ? (Flashing B450 ITX G BIOS onto my AB350 G ITX)

Hello everyone,

Yes yes I know, 5000 Ryzen CPUs are normally not supported on B350 mobos.

However, it was my understanding that the Asrock B450 Gaming ITX was nothing else but an AsRock AB350 Gaming ITX/ac with a B450 BIOS flashed on it. I think I had read/heard somewhere that the actual hardware (by which I mean the chipset) was the same on both boards.

This is why I am wondering if it will be possible to flash the future Ryzen-5000-compatible BIOS made for the B450 onto my AB350.

What are your thoughts about this?

My thoughts are, you should stream it... Title of the stream: "Watch me brick my board!"

The chipsets are very different physically, and the BIOSes are never going to be compatible between chipsets. They only look the same to a user because they have effectively identical feature sets on those boards, but the chipset is still nowhere near compatible.
