Rx 6800 stickers on top of GPU

So I just received my 6800 and it’s got a bunch of white stickers on the backplate. Any idea why they are there and not some other place out of the way? Is it the same on all 6800s? I don’t really want to remove them in case it affects the warranty.

It's probably the serial number and such, and it's definitely for warranty and such

Yes, it is but I just wonder why it was stuck on the backplate instead of somewhere else.

It's probably manufacturing constraint. They need a clear and flat area for the product scan during last line.

Nothing bad, but u have brown Noctua fan so aesthetics doesn't count here  (just joking)

They are probably for warranty, my gpu has them too. They probably include the model number and such.

why is your GPU in something that looks like repurposed CDROM caddy? That would bother me more than some stickers tbh

You mean the case? It's a NZXT H510.

Oh I see what you did there. Yeah those stickers do suck but what can you do?

Well, my Sapphire Nitro+ doesn't have a sticker in such an awkward location...

it's also missing the CD player exterior...

Nice! The Nitro+ is a full 100 USD more here in Japan. What’s the performance like? I had the 5700XT Nitro + and it was a very nice card.

What model is it, and how are the temps? 

It’s the Sapphire reference card. Temps aren’t too bad. I’d like to have gone for an AIB model but got this for an amazing deal from Amazon. Brand new in the box for 400 GBP from Amazon outlet.

Ah I see, wow. I actually quite like the design, but I didn't see the back like that yet... looks definitely a bit weird and yeah... dumb as it sounds I'd probably call them or the seller and ask if it's ok to remove the stickers... 

 

honestly it shouldn't be too hard but also a bit delicate, you'd need to do some research probably before removing them without damaging the card.... I guess! 

 

OR I'd slap a huge sticker with "AMD" or something on it.... lol (make pics of the stickers before)

Yeah it’s only a bunch of stickers. I think I can live with it.
