Reapplication of Thermal paste in brand new GPU after opening?

CptStabfellow

Like the question says, should i reapply the thermal paste on the GPU if i need to open a brand new GPU to remove the backplate "because it doesn't fit the moba"(<<edit), or i can leave the one already applied and just close it back?

Did you remove the cooler as well? Not sure why would you be taking apart a brand new GPU in the first place if you're not putting a waterblock on it or something. You're just risking voiding your warranty.

Not risking it, the manufactures allow me to open it to clean it, so warranty is not a problem, i'm opening because there is no other way, i can't use the backplate with my current moba, so i have to remove the backplate, but as you know, there are screws that can only be removed by removing the heatsink, no other way around it, simple as that.
