your best bet would probably be the Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB since its on sale for $100 from an original price of $150 because of black friday.

because of its reliability

and how it will run just as well in games as a quality m.2 ssd

(sata ssd's have the same windows 10 boot time as well as the same game loading times as m.2's)

so unless your going to be editing large 4k videos i think your better off getting a samsung 860 evo over a crucial p 1

I am currently planning on going with the crucial p 1 but it has only a terabyte and was looking to see if there are any other options. If you have an suggestion I would appreciate it.

budget around $100 for storage

parts list ( yes I know about 5000 series and already have the motherboard and CPU )

How much space do you want/ You cn get 2tb drives like the 665p/660p which re faialry chep anad gives you more space.

Or you can get a large hard drive.

Depends of what would you use on that PC, you want speed or more capacity. I'd go for SATA SSDs (they're cheaper and it's still a SSD anyway) or even HDD instead of NVME SSD if you want more capacity.

1 TB of SSD is kind of enough somehow for normal use of PC.

Humor me, as you should do.
