I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with an EVGA 700 watt 80 plus Bronze PSU. Would it be just enough for a RTX 3080 on stock? Thanks in advance!

EVGA probably has a dozen 80+ Bronze rated PSUs.

It'd be useful if you could let us know which exact model it is (B2, B5, BT, BQ, etc.), though even if it was say the B2 (which I think is the best out of their Bronze units atm), I still wouldn't get my hopes up in it running a 3080 without any hiccups.

Best (probably) case scenario, you undervolt and/or lower the power limit on the 3080 and it works.

Worst case, you need to buy a new PSU if it straight-up doesn't work, or if you've got a crappy group reg that you shouldn't be powering even your current system with.

I really don't trust any of the EVGA bronze units to handle the transient power spikes of the 30 series.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yeah it should be okay. As far as I know, there are only two 700w 80+ Bronze PSUs, the BR and the W1. The BR is better, but you won't blow up the W1 either.

The only one that is confirmed to work with the 3080 is the BQ currently.

Hm, good to know. I'd imagine it whines pretty damn badly when paired with a 3080 because of its double forward topology though, lol.

The W1 is rated 80+ White and is more likely to light up like a Christmas tree than to work fine with a 3080.

Yeah....

On the list we have of working PSUs and working well there are no Bronze models.... ;)

And all of them are Tier A PSUs on the tier list, we have over 80 PSUs listed so far.

This is what I would only recommend to those looking at RTX 30 series, a Tier A rated PSU to deal with those transient power spikes to prevent system shutdown.

I would buy a super high quality psu. Never trust a mehp psu with expensive hardware. I think you should try a Corsair 800+ watts.
