His RAM is 1333. You have to double that number because of dual channel.

I get 7.8. Although I would have thought my 3960X @ 4.9Ghz would get 7.9 :(

False, it is because it is DDR (Dual Data Rate) memory, it has nothing to do with dual channel.

Weird I have the same CPU and memory and my memory score is 7.9, do you have your XMP profile enabled in your bios? Or very possibly it just shows how windows experience index means nothing :P

Haha, WEI is such a joke.

Not entirely, if you or I look for an decent laptop, its a bit handy to know how the CPU, GPU and such do preform because most shops don't allow you to install some benchmark software. So looking at the WEI does come a bit handy  ;)

Watch out, there might be ninjas out there

My fail PC is 5.9 lol.

Btw I thought there was a max of 7.9 or something? Can't remember.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

It very well should. Actually, I do remember seeing a post somewhere else (I think Windows 8 forums?) where a user had TWO i7 3960X CPUs both overclocked to 5GHz. I think he got a 9.0 or something in processor. If two 3960X gets only a 9.0, it'll be ten years before a 9.9 score becomes viable for 1% of the population...

How can you have two 3960Xs in one system? You'd have to go Xeon for that.

Need to replace the SSD with a bigger and faster one, but I don't want to spend the money as long as this one does it's job.

I don't really play many games for gameplay anymore honestly. I play most games just for the graphics.

hey man I was getting that problem with my SSD as well, free up some space and your index should increase. 5.9 is mechanical drive speed, unless you're running a sata 2 SSD?
