Booted a 1st Gen Ryzen on X570 Aorus Master

I can't take credit.
I stumbled upon this "ability" from "The Tech Tank" on Youtube (he is/was part of UFD Tech) when MSI sent him a MEG X570 Unify, but only had a 1st gen Ryzen CPU.

Well, it works on with a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master too.

I flashed to oldest available BIOS on Gigabyte's website.

Anyone else tried?

At least I can swap mobo and wait for some Zen 3 chips to come available.

Should work just fine. After all second gen works on x570 too.

Oh, didn't know that. I just assumed it would be the same as X570. Good to know!

So first issue I ran into was Mobo/CPU would not recognize my Patriot Hellfire NVMe in Slot 1/A, but no issue in Slot 2/B.
Went back to BIOS webpage, and saw there was revision for dealing with some PCIe compatibility; rev F11, IIRC.

Now NVMe is recognized in Slot 1/A.
