What would be the best cooling upgrade?

Hey guys! I currently have a Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M and it is throttling my Intel i7-9700k (I know intel boo) but anyway I want to upgrade it as I can only boost to 4.7Ghz before it throttles and I want to get the full 4.9Ghz so I also want to go water cooling, I am thinking AIO like the Asus Ryujin but it is a bit expensive. I have also included my current cooling thing I believe the graphics card blows like that its an Asus ROG STRIX 2060 OC edition and the case is a Corsair iCUE 465X for measurements etc. But anyone got a good idea. Also if anyone knows any custom cooling kits (Or a group of good products.) that have very little maintenance needed and easy to drain, also RGB of course and would be good if its pretty cheap and because it is my first time water-cooling soft tubing would be best. Thanks hope to hear some good ideas.

It's not a great cooler but it should totally be able to handle the 9700k at stock.

 

I'd say get a sycthe fuma 2 cooler and a single rgb fan for it (or reuse the masterairs ones). If you get a aio get an arctic liquid freezer. Cheap and performs very well. Then add your own rgb. Still cheaper and better than well most. Or ya know don't rgb and just topmount it. There isn't rgb there now anyways so no difference.

MA410M should hold up if you are not OC'ing, what are temps like?

A friend of mine has a Dark Rock Pro on his 9700K Hackintosh. It spools up to full speed, he doesn’t overclock. It makes for a good stock cooler in the least. It’s packed into a little nzxt case with 3 fans.

Yeah I have mine turbo boosted/overclocked, so may need something better if it goes full speed on normal.

Its not great either, with an idle temp that high I would not be surprised if it throttles, or at the very least gets closer to 100c.

 

DRP4 is a 250w cooler, just throwing that out there. Lots of people are into silent rigs, that's a lot of the problem right there.. since you need to move some air :D

I did the intel extreme turning ulitilty benchmark and it hit top 70C at 4.7GHz but if I push it to 4.8GHz or higher this comes up. And it should be able to take 4.9

If that is a high idle it may be because it has been running all day, so it may have just been heated up by that.

Idle temps do not matter much compared to load temps. And sure enough:

Those temps are completely fine, no real reason to upgrade the cooler, you are not thermal throttling.

 I think I need to upgrade my PSU, as it is like a 600 or a 650W I think. As I did the stress test and it Power Limit Throttled so I think I should upgrade it as that's what is limiting it.

100% is not an issue, a 9700k and 2060S will not go anywhere near 500W even. My 3900xt and 1080Ti rarely even get near 500W. Unless you are planning on a GPU upgrade to a 3070 or better, than I would to be concerned.

I cannot remember all I know its a EVGA one and its around 600W I believe. But then do you know why my CPU is power limit throttling?

Not sure as to why. Possibly some settings within bios.

 

If it is a 600W unit likely the 600W B, BQ, or B2 which means it is meh in terms of quality, but for power load it is fine. If you upgrade go for 750-850W assuming you'd also be looking at a 3070, otherwise for mid tier GPUs 650W is plenty.

Thanks, but yeah just built the computer last christmas so only a year old. So not planning to upgrade main stuff as of right now.
