Air cooler, which one?

Hello everyone,

it's been a while since I bought an air cooler for a pc, and since I'm giving away to a friend my old i7 6700k plus mobo (Asus Z170 Pro Gaming), I need a new one for him. Before I used a NZXT Kraken x52, but since he's not a very pc expert I want to give him a more user friendly solution.

The case will be a Corsair 275R Airflow, and ram will probably be the cheapest Crucial Ballistix on Amazon IT.

I'm thinking about a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition or a Noctua NH-U9B SE2.

Are they any good for an i7 6700k? Maybe in the next future I'll overclock it for him, not too much (from 4.00Ghz stock to maybe 4.2-4.3).

Any suggestion? Under 50-55€ possibly, MAX 60€.

What kind of budget are we talking about?

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

be Quiet Pure Rock 4

Arctic Freezer 34

Scythe Mugen 4 / 5

 

They are the best in the mid range. The Mugen would probably be overkill, but for the price it's the best cooler of all time.

If you like your friend enough, this cooler be great. This cooler should work out as well.

Noctua NH-d15 no questions asked best air cooler on the market, but it is about 10-20 dollars out of budget depending on if you get the cromax black or not.

In the end I picked the Arctic Freezer 34 DUO, it's recommended in this topic and pretty much everywhere :D
