If OP was already hacked and now they only requested him to log out of the account there's a probability he already has keylogger on his machine from previous incident...

The gifs show very basic phishing though. And you don't really need to log out from Steam in order to login with another device. So easy script would be to ping Steam login (only client! other applications allow multiple logins just fine) and waiting until PC is powered off or connection otherwise lost.

 

Which is why one should have 2FA and other security measures in place to prevent unwanted login attempts in case someone happens to get hold of username and password. If recovery email is compromised, thats bit more annoying as then only way to recover is to show from purchase receipts that account is theirs.
