so I need some help, I just got an offer from a classmate that has a 2070 super and his about to get a 3080 and he wants to sell it to me for about $150 or in my currency 600sr which is really good considering it costs about $500 or my currency 3000sr (inflated for economy), should I wait for a 3000 series or get the 2070 super?

I'm still very happy with my 2070 Super, just check different benchmarks for the games you'll be playing at the resolution you're playing at and see if that is the performance you want.

Further more, just follow this flowchart:

And just add "Do you want to upgrade?" at the bottom.

150 USD would be a good price for a videocard like this.

If the guy is reliable I'd take the card. What resolution are you playing at? If you're not playing at at least 1440p you won't even notice a performance difference that justifies paying the 3080 MSRP. If you're playing at 1440p I'd still take the card. I have a 1080ti that provides very similar performance and at 1440p it's still very good. The difference is that you'll have access to DLSS and RTX so you'll have "futureproofing" in terms of technology. Spend the rest of the money at something else. Only way in hell I'm considering not taking this amazing deal would be if I were playing at 4k and I REALLY needed the performance.

Ada is worse than Ampere which is worse than Fermi, change my mind.

2070 super is a great card still for maxed 1080p and medium/high 1440p gaming. That's a great price for it. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on it personally.

If you can get it for $150 I would. That's a really good deal and if you want to get a 3000 series gpu later you could sell it for more than 150.

1440 and if I hook it up to my TV probably 4K but mostly 1440.

yeah at this point I should really get it since it only a few months old since the purchase and is really clean but kinda skeptical about the really cheap price
