RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT

_lucalink

Hi,

I am buying a new graphics card and need some help. I am torn between one of these two RTX 2060's:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MJGCPW5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07R27BJYB?tag=pcp0f-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

or a RX 5600XT like this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SAPPHIRE-PULSE-RADEON-5600-GDDR6/dp/B089T8Z1CP/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3AT415YEULL26&dchild=1&keywords=rx+5600xt+sapphire+pulse&qid=1598916057&sprefix=rx+5600xt+%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-3

I am struggling to make up my mind so if anyone has any experience (especially with these particular models in particular as there the only ones I can find that fit my budget) it would be great to know.

Or if you know of any others models of these two card that would be better. My Budget cant go over £300 and has to be on amazon as the money for it is amazon gift credit

This article might help.    RX 5600XT Review

Quote

On average, I found that the RX 5600 XT is about 14% faster than the GTX 1660 Super. The RTX 2060, meanwhile, is 7% faster than the RX 5600 XT, but the Nvidia card’s price is also about 7% more. So Nvidia is expecting people to pay $20 more to try out RTX features in the games that support them. The 5600 XT, however, will get you about the same price-to-performance but at $20 less.

2060 is clearly better but iirc you could get 5700 xt around that price which is equal to 2060 super performance

The 5700 non-XT is about 2060 Super performance, the 5700XT is closer to 2070 Super performance.

are prices really that fucked up in your region? i mean here in India too AMD GPUs are generally more expensive

Ended up going with the RTX 2060 OC from gigabyte. The 5700 is a bit to expensive for my current budget. I will probably end up switching to a RTX 3060/3070 once there out

??? Sell that card or return it! It's absolutely not worth buying a new GPU right now, especially ANY RTX card.

Their current ray tracing capabilities will be absolutely destroyed by RDNA2 and Ampere. If you are soo impatient that you need a GPU right now, pick up an RX 570 8GB used for 100$. But that's the worst mistake you can do. Give that card back and reward yourself with an RX 6700XT or a 3070 later when prices stabilize.

You won't be disappointed!

Cheers!

Don't lock yourself into that even if it looks like an enticing option. The 3070 will most definitely launch in October and you won't be able to buy a 3060 until November!

That doesn't make sense. Please just buy something really cheap and not waste your time with gimped, overpriced Turing cards.

But I can only guide you not force you what to do with you wallet.

Probably longer. The 2060 was released in January/February iirc.
