Best PSU for a new system

Wlayey

Hello,

I will be building a 3900X/RTX2080 based system soon, and I would like to choose a good PSU for my build:
Here are some ones that I found (in Hungary):

Bitfenix Whisper M 850W Gold BP-WG850UMAG-9FM 5 yrs 38250 HUF $128.4
Super Flower LEADEX III RGB 650W SF-650F14RG 5 yrs 39500 HUF $132.6
be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W Gold BN282 3-5 yrs depending on shop 42500 HUF $142.6
Seasonic Focus PX-650 Platinum   5-10 yrs depending on shop 44500 HUF $149.3
Corsair RM750x Gold CP-9020179-EU 5-10 yrs depending on shop 44990 HUF $151
Corsair RM850i Gold CP-9020083-NA 5-10 yrs depending on shop 45500 HUF $152.7
Corsair RM1000x Gold CP-9020094-EU 5-10 yrs depending on shop 51500 HUF $172.8

Out of these, which one(s) would be the best option? Any other recommendations?

Will the RM850i work (hence the NA tag at the end)?

To be honest, I am leaning towards the Seasonic (as I had a SS12G with NO issues for 6 years), or the be Quiet (it looks cool, I had one in the past which was silent af).

Requirements are basically silent operation, and long cables (Enthoo Pro is 535mm / 21.1in tall, so the EPS cable should be long enough).

Thanks a lot!

I've never heard of Bitfenix or Super Flower before, so I definitely wouldn't get those. To my knowledge, Corsair PSUs are usually good quality. I'd personally get one of the Corsair RM options depending on how much wattage you want.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Interesting. I'd never heard of the brand before (as I said in my post), but I guess it must be good then

Then you would be missing out on good PSUs. Super Flower is one of the manufacturers, like Seasonic. They have a wide variety of PSUs ranging from mediocre to high quality, but the Leadex III ARGB is also one of the best PSUs out there. Bitfenix gets most of their PSUs from CWT like Corsair and their Formula Gold and Whisper M PSUs are some of the best out there.

@Wlayey  Honestly, the Whisper M is a steal compared to the rest of them

The Whisper M is a steal at that price. The only one worth it other than it is probably the RM850i, and that is if you want the digital monitoring and control.

850W is quite excessive though for just a 3900X and 2080 though.

I would say the Corsair RMX 750 Or the RMI 850W if wanted the Digital interface.

The RMX and RMI will run quiet, more so than the Seasonic Focus.

Yes the RMI 850W will work fine, why wouldn't it?

Anything more than 850W would be unrealistic for the system even with future upgrades to the 3000 Series Nvidia cards.

Unless they start making 550W to 600W GPUs down the road, I suppose one never knows what's going to happen...

Thats a very scary thought, with the sheer amount of cooling you would need for something that insane.

I know, one would need a separate case just for the GPU cooler. LOL
