LG HDR buggy

Hi guys,

I have an Lg monitor that have HDR capable.(model lg32gk850f-b). HDR is turn off in the setting but it's keep turn itself on everytime I open a game in fullscreen mode.

Does anyone here have the same problem as I have?

I want to turn it off cuz the HDR with 400 nits brightness display is not very good and color is all over the places.

P.s:try to screenshot the different of colors between sdr and hdr, not work :(( aggggrrarra I hate windows HDR

Can't you turn it off in the display's menu/settings? rather than windows driver/settings.

No there is no option to turn it off in my display.

check the bitrate used in nvidia control panel.

Well when i turn it off, it automatically turn on in game that have hdr and when i turn it on, i get washed out colors in everywhere so that's won't help me as far as I know.

I'm using AMD, and how to check the bitrate? I have never see bitrate in setting in any GPU.

Have you tried setting a gamer profile as per the screenshot I posted? at least it might help with having to re-do your settings each time. Don't know about the rest of it, sorry. Might be worth chatting/speaking/emailing customer support about it, they might be able to put you in touch with a technician that could help.

I have an LG monitor that uses HDR as well. Make sure you have HDR turned off in the game as well. As soon as the monitor detects that the game is trying to send it an HDR signal, it's going to default to HDR on.

Is this issue exist in all game or just only in the title you play at the moment? if it's the latter, you should try turning off HDR in the game option. Some title will turn HDR on automatically if it detected that HDR option had already been perviously selected in the game menu, without you actually having to it on in Windows
