Normally you can use a program like handbrake to rip dvds

Windows 10.

Will handbrake work with drm protected dvd's?

Sorry to keep at you,

When I hit encode it outputs a 0 sec  black video. Any idea what this issue is or should I start another topic in software?

DVDFab HD Decrypter is great for ripping DVD's. https://www.dvdfab.cn/hd-decrypter.htm?

If it still has encryption, then if you're using Handbrake put libdvdcss-2.dll into your Handbrakes program files folder; http://download.videolan.org/pub/libdvdcss/1.2.11/win64/libdvdcss-2.dll

Did you select the correct track? Under "Title" make sure its the one with the time code thats the length of the movie.

Also did the encode finish without error? If it's errored then the video file cant be read properly which results in the symptom.

I use MakeMKV to rip my DVD's. Hand break is cool if you need to convert videos to other formats.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
