Making friend a part list

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is a 

list I've come up with. If anyone has suggestion, they would be much appreciated. He already bought the case, but i included it in the list anyway. He doesn't really have a set goal with the build, just the best money can buy for around $1100 USD.

Probably should've mentioned this in the first post, but he doesn't care about waiting for AMD and Nvidia to release their new lineups. It just depends when he gets paid. If their new components come out when he builds it, I'll adjust accordingly.

Not really lol, I tried telling him to wait, but he's been using a dying laptop and just wants a PC finally.

Yea but he isn't really someone concerned with money, so it doesn't really matter to him. I'm gonna keep trying to make him wait, but I don't think he will.

Build looks good, the one @Oswin came up with is also another way to go, if you don't mind the iffy AMD drivers from time to time.

Personally I'd stick to Nvidia, but each to their own.

He won't really save much money by waiting; the lower tier cards come out a few months after the top tier ones. The new CPUs will launch at a slightly higher price, and frankly the gain isn't really worth the added cost.
