I voted Arch, but changed my mind.
My favorite distro is Arch, under ONE condition - it has to be on some fail-safe filesystem such as OpenZFS. I can not stress this enough - unless you are a system administrator which is good with Linux - an software update (from which you have to run like at least weekly to avoid some unforseen bugs? It might be fixed IDK) can break your system just.like.that. Otherwise - Arch is a great distribution as you get latest updates

I cannot quote people with the built-in function because I almost never enable JavaScript on websites. You won't get notified if I reply to you, sadly :/

I love MX Linux. It runs beautifully on the ACER Aspire Timeline X 3820TG-3022. I didn't have to configure anything. It just worked.

Ever since I've completely ditched windows (I've been on Linux for more than a year now), I finally stopped distro hopping when I switched to Fedora (using KDE).

With that said, here are some of the distros that have a special place in my heart:
1. Pop_OS - The very first distro that I've used for the longest time. It was easy since I gamed a lot and I heard that it was a breeze to setup Steam, Lutris and Wine on here. I loved customizing Gnome/Cosmic on this and it was a blast.
2. Manjaro - I used this primarily for work on my laptop. Loved how streamline the KDE version was.
3. EndeavorOS - Used this for a few months as my daily driver but something broke when I updated something and I never got it to work again.

4. Arch - Before I settled down with Fedora, I stayed on pure Arch for several months, however it gave me issues with my wifi drivers and I just got tired troubleshooting every time a kernel update came.

The deep blue sky is infinitely high and crystal clear.

Been doing some hopping lately and finally settled on Fedora on my work laptop and Pop for my main pc. The reason for Pop is primarily since everything (including my nvidia gpu, steelseries headset, BT adapter and printer) worked OOTB. And the reason for Fedora...I can´t really put my finger on it but 36 with gnome just feels so polished and fluid.

I stopped using Linux back in 2016 i think and then Mint was my go to for a few years before that. So a lot of catching up and re-learning to do now. Hoping it is like riding a bike!

I've been pretty happy with Fedora since I switched to it a few months. It took adding several extensions* but once those were in play, it's been awesome. I think one thing I find hilarious is that I added the tiling window extension that Pop_OS uses to my Fedora install and it works better on Fedora than it did on Pop. The tiling would randomly glitch in Pop every few days and that's almost never happened in Fedora.

 

* Vanilla Gnome is missing a few features that I don't consider optional. My happiness with Fedora is heavily contingent on the fact that I can mod the desktop without too much difficulty.

I'm using Void on the personal laptop;

Arch on the gaming desktop;

and Ubuntu on the normie laptop.

 

Void is an "assemble it yourself" kind of distro like Arch, but the package modularization makes more sense from a user perspective, it's one of the most stable rolling releases, more Unix like than most other distros, runit instead of systemd, and the OS just feels more like home to me than any other distro. 

 

Arch on the gaming PC because of the recent packages making optimizing for performance great, the massive software compatibility, and because I installed it before I knew about Void and I'm not about the reinstall a perfectly functional OS. 

 

Ubuntu on the normie laptop because its purpose is to do normie things like school, non-gaming proprietary software and hardware, and anything else you need good mainstream support for. Ubuntu isn't a great distro, but it's the best for that specific use case.

Pop_OS! For sure. To me, it's like Ubuntu but with a better flavor of gnome, default tiling options, and no snaps.

 

Though I'm not a fan of how buggy/laggy gnome can feel at times, though that may be an issue on my installation. I'm eagerly awaiting their custom rust DE.

Ubuntu Server

 

It's the distro I first learned to administer back with Ubuntu 7.04. I've used others since at work, but at home I use it every time.

I personally use Fedora 36. But if I had to give a distribution with the most unique and fairly distinct experience I would say Gentoo every. single. time. I learned far more about linux when using gentoo than any other distribution. Do things crash and burn sometimes? Yes. Is it kind of annoying at times for a daily-use PC? For sure. Hence why I currently I am not running it. But despite that, it is definitely my favorite distro.
