Sorry for reviving this thread a few days later, but I just wanted to ask if it makes a difference which Vega 64 I'm using or if they all have the same power draw. My vega 64 is a sapphire nitro+ (the original version of this even came with 3x8pin power) and Im not sure if the link you send applies to this aswell.

Don't worry about that, there won't be any noticeable difference if at all.

Not a big deal though, will just lower the power limit slightly

That doesn't mean it's the PSU lol.

Ddu the drivers.

Temps?

Clear the cmos. That doesn't really have to do with the PSU. And even if it did it's not because of the wattage.

Its a fresh install, temps for both cpu and gpu are fine (below 80). Anyway, wether the wattage is enough or not is the least of my problems right now, because Ill have to rma the gpu for excessive coil whine (made a post about that 1 hour ago)

Considering the super nasty transients of the Vega 64, I wouldn't rule out the PSU, since it could very well be triggering the OCP.

Try lowering the power limit or undervolting. Also disable XMP if you haven't already to rule out any other potential culprits.

Most manufacturers don’t accept coil whine as a return reason as it is not an actual manufacturing defect.
