Except for Major'as Mask I wouldn't put any of those in my top ten or anything, but I just wanted to throw out some games that are retro that give me good memories, there are litterally hundreds of good retro games but they are all so obvious. Metroid, Mario 64, Donkey Kong Country, yadda yadda.

Altered Beast on the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis

I grew up next to the Nintendo 64

But hated the controller so asked for the Megadrive at the pawnbrokers instead. parents were happy with that i wanted the cheaper toy in their mind :P

All my favorite console games are "retro" because my most recent console was the N64 :P. One of my favorite games that hasn't been mentioned is EVO: Search for Eden on SNES. Also, Metal Gear for NES was awesome, I played that game so much growing up. And, Kid Icarus was amazing too but most people here seem to be too young to have played it so I have to mention it or I'm sure it will be left out.
