a lil bit of build help needed on a couple of systems - $35,000 and $20,000.

Hi. I am looking to build a couple of systems;

1) The first one is intended purely as a workstation for modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, architecture, static and dynamic structural 2d and 3d cad modelling, audio and video editing.

- First, the budget for this pc is roughly about $35,000

- Second, I am looking to use 6 screens on this workstation. However, i would request you guys to keep in mind of the 4k technology available in the market today. If there are better alternatives please make a note of them along with the orientation of the screens that would be placed.

- Third, I would want to know which one is better when setup with/without a 4k res monitor - cintiq or intuos

- Lastly, the monitor/s, keyboard, mouse and the cintiq/intuos is inclusive in the budget of $35,000.

2) The second one is intended purely as a gaming rig.

- First, the budget for this pc is roughly about $20,000.

- Second, I am looking to use 5 screens (three in landscape orientation and two in portrait orientation; one on each side of the landscape mode). I would request you to kindly enlighten me with 4k monitors and if i can use them to the gaming system, will I be getting a decent and stable 60fps atleast or should i wait it out on the 4k section for the gaming rig, if 4k is not applicable what would be the best alternative and their orientation.

- Third, Is it possible to add and set a decent racing wheel rig to the system within the budget, if yes, what would be its hardware configuration?

- Lastly, the monitors, keyboard, mouse and racing wheel rig is all inclusive in the budget of $20,000.

I would be buying both these systems in a time span of 2-3 weeks. Thanks and cheers.  :)

Would you all just stop gawking over his budget?

ok to be precise. I am a basically a game designer graduated from the University of Wales followed by doing post graduation in Harvard University as design - majors character design, further i had worked with Ubisoft in Montreal for about 1 year. after which i have not been in touch with the field for i had met with a major accident that kept me at bay from the work environment for about a year and a half. Though i had done my majors in gaming, i did learn a lot of auto cad, sound and video editing from digital tutors. Now, after all the the toil i wish to open my own office. Thereby, the requisition for help. cheers.

Here's I parts list that I would go for in the workstation rig. I didn't go with 6 moniters since I feel like 3 4k ones would be sufficient and since each 4k monitor is 4 1080 monitors in one. I also didn't add a keyboard, mouse, or speakers since those are personal preferrnce. If you have nay question of why I choose these parts go ahaed and ask, I recommend it.

What kind of dollars are you using?

There's no point getting both a cintiq and an intuos.. The Cintiq does everything the Intuos does.

It would help to know what programs you used and what you use to render-if iRay is used, that would be important to mention.

Wait out for 4K. It's doable but really not worth investing in yet.

You just add in the racing wheel like you would any other game controller.

Why so many displays?

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning section. I'm moving the thread.

OK. I have to say.

This is BS.

If you want something you pick what you can and then refine if you can't budget for it. No one, NO. ONE. Legitimately just says I want to spend $20k here and $35k here being pretty much blind to what is inside. They say I want it to do this with this, this and this. If you didn't include a budget you would have had more realistic responses.

This seems like a thread full of hot air. If it happens I'll take all this back but I don't see that happening. Also the fact that you have created multiple threads like this on lots of different forums like Toms Hardware, TekSyndicate and ROG but your budget has now fluctuated from a $11k single rig to a $16k single rig to a $20k rig AND $35k rig since the 22nd of Feb I'm calling shenanigans.

Shenanigans.

It is true that my budget has risen.. N its also true that i have been inquiring on various other forums as well.. but is it a crime to get feedbacks from as many people as possible when investing such an amount? The other thing is that I belong to Chennai, India, where I am selling one of my properties for about $97,164 (INR 60,00,000) to be precise to be able to afford these rigs and a new office. However, had i not been out of the whole computer industry for about a year and a half due to medical issues that i had, I would never had posted anything on any forum at all. It is saddening to be called a troll or rate something to be bullshit when a person is investing about 3/4 of all that he earned to do something that he is passionate about in life.

On the contrary, I would thank the people of this forum who have taken the trouble to help me. Lastly, if its so bothering to have a person ask for suggestions on an unusually high budget, then please let me know, I'll make sure to delete all the posts that i have posted asking for help on various forums. Cheers. Peace.
