Phone to monitor mount? (to be used as a webcam)

We are starting our online classes this monday(im from asia so dont judge) and webcams are all out of stock online and in store so when I saw Linus video(video below), It gave me an idea to use my old phone and turn it into a webcam for my online classes and online conferences. but i dont have a small tripod and dont want to use one either. So, can someone suggest me some accessories that mounts my phone to the monitor(to be mounted horizontally)

If you don't have a tripod, tape.

Teachers doesn't care about the angle of the camera view right? you can just place it below the monitor leaning to it.

You can hire your siblings to be a tripod for the phone xDDDDD

grab a sticky phone mount (for cars), stick it in your monitor, shouldn't leave any residue

Linus said that you can use camera via internet, you can also use it via USB, but software is hot or miss. Use the provided USB to be sure you can transfer files, and also data

Any cardboard, some rubber bands and tape + some time. You can do anything.

Or even simpler. Empty juice or milk carton. Stuff bottom with something heavy to keep it standing. Cut slot for your phone. Done.

I bought a Lamicall Cell Phone Stand from Amazon.  It sits right on top of the router box that is next to my workstation.  I've done a number of Zoom meeting using the phone as a webcam and it works great.  The nice thing is that it is not glued or attached to everything so I can move it easily.  I have weekly voice lessons with my teacher and use it in an upstairs room for those.
