When I install AMD GPU drivers the screen goes black.

After some time after the screen goes back the audio from my headphones becomes like a loop of like a screeching noise I tried ddu and device manager. What can I do now?

Specs:

I5-750

HD 7770

12gb ram

Gigabyte p55 usb3 motherboard 

Some generic 500w psu that has been holding up nicely

DDu all gpu drivers off , try to install again . If that doesn’t work the gpu is most like this busted

Yeah I tried the latest optional and whql

Now I am going to try some catalyst drivers. And maybe downgrade windows version.

Try installing it manually, not automaticlly.

AMDs or ATI website if its still there.

No I don't mean that. I mean go to the AMD official website and when you install the drivers instead of clicking automatically click manual and select your GPU. If you scroll a little down under the AUTO DETECT option you'll see a option to select your GPU.

That's how I got the drivers that I tried

If you did that and not the auto-detect option. Go with the auto-detect option. It has never failed on me tbh.

That is definitely the computer crashing during driver installation.

 

An HD7770. I heard about AMD recently dropping support in their driver for GPUs 6XXX and older. I'd advise trying an older GPU driver. 15.7 with Catalyst Control Center comes to mind (don't quote me on the number but look for something similar).

 

Considering your other hardware it'd also be appropriate. Sometimes the latest drivers of any software can cause problems when you need backwards compatibility.

did you use ddu (display driver uninstaller ) because scrolling through this 

you said you manually deleted them 

if so use ddu 

did you buy the card used ?  did you flash it with a different vbios ?

I did use DDU several times. Card used. Didn't flash.

try flashing it with a consumer bios 

it may have been flashed with a mining bios

Yeah i was thinking about it and found this https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/154389/154389 on techpowerup. And i have a question can you flash this card with lets say a powercolor version? My one is the vertex 3d

it could work but could cause problems 

but those problems probably wont interfere with drivers  

if possible find the same model if you couldn't i guess just flash it with this one

I think it might work bc in techpowerup those cards are marked like same bios and links to the other bioses

and technically it will work ( it uses the same chipset )

as i said if you can't find the exact model just flash it with this one
