Which is better, DDR4 at 3000MHz CL15 or 3200MHz CL16

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

They're identical in terms of latency, though for Ryzen I'd take the 3200MHz over 3000MHz.

Basically I had ordered Corsair PRO Rgb 3200Mhz CL 16 from a website.
They sent me Corsair Pro Rgb 3000Mhz Cl15 instead.
Which one is better performance wise?
Would the performance be same? Is it worth refunding?

Ram Timing.

so unfortunate. Yes I was going to pair it with Ryzen 3600.
I think I should return the product because they sent me a wrong product. I ordered for 3200mhz cl16

I mean yeah it's not a groundbreaking difference between them or anything, it's more that they sent you the wrong product.

It's up to you whether you think it's worth sending it back and waiting for them to send you the right product.

I'd prefer the 3200C16 although in most cases you'll never notice the difference.

Since it was a mistake on the part of the seller you can try to get them to pick up the costs involved with returning it and replacing with the correct part.
