Can GeForce GTX 1660 support 240hz monitor?

Autumn-

I'm planning to change my 60hz monitor to 240hz and im wondering can my gtx 1660 gpu support a 240hz monitor, i thought i just need to upgrade my cpu to support 240hz monitor cuz im using ryzen 5 1600. So do i need to change my gpu to support a 240hz monitor?

 

edit: i play csgo, 4:3 all low settings

What settings ?

A 1600 has decent ipc and should do you good but it depends

in general, yes it will work. but dont expect the 1660 to push 240fps in most games without some huge down grade in graphical settings

It wont really support 240 Hz. Perhaps eSports like csgo, dota or R6 might if you have the settings very low, or games like rocket league and fortnite. If your want  a high refresh rate experience your probably best getting a nice 144hz monitor instead

It should be fine 

A 1600 should have no problem as it has decent ipc

ok, thanks for helping me !! i dont have to waste money to buy a new gpu cuz this gpu is pretty new, just used a year or less.

Your 1660 will handle CS:GO at 240Hz just fine. Don't expect it to do in most other games though.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

For CS:GO your limiting factor will be the 1600, as that game really doesn't like Zen and Zen+ too much. A slight overclock could help a bit though.

Either way, you should be getting around 150-200FPS fairly easily, and the 1660 will work perfectly fine.

So basically i had the same plan of actions, wanted to get 240hz and 1660 ti, what did you achieve with this idea? How many fps in CS:GO with such settings and how do you feel playing it rn
