For 1200 bucks, get a 512gb ssd, a 2080 , and maybe and i7 or i9

Well, you should never scrap anything, but repurpose old systems into something else, sell it, or donate it.

I agree with most of what @i_build_nanosuits said, except I wouldn't bother upgrading anything until the 3000 series comes out. Just tough it out a little longer.

The 9900k is a horrible, horrible choice given the 10700k is essentially the same thing but much cheaper.

I highly, highly doubt that Nvidia is going to push it so far that they miss the Christmas shopping season.

Also...499$ for RTX 2070 Super ain't bad...IMHO the RTX 3060 will have similar rasterizing performance to it, with better ray tracing...for...hang on: 499$

EDIT: The 499$ card is out of stock but best buy has the same in stock for 506$...that would make it more expensive than the RTX 3060...but you get it NOW. :)

DO NOT pay for the extra warranty and stuff..the card already has warranty included. not sure if its 2 or 3 years.

And it's 499...not 506$ LOL 😛

Makes it the same price as the 3060 LOL 😛

You need at least the card and the powersuply...the other items are ''optional'' but i do strongly recommend you game at 1440p high refresh on a new monitor with a card of this caliber. I would get the case, and the SSD too...so yeah 😛

Later if you have money left and you want to really treat yourself, the rift S offer a whole new slew of games, simulators and possibilities...it's worth it.

Yeah and you don’t need a new motherboard. I don’t like being made fun of by a guy who clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about, those 2 cpus use different sockets. If you have a problem take it up with intel not me

I really don't see them increasing the price that much. It doesn't make sense to increase the price of mid and low tier cards, as they're incredibly sensitive when it comes to pricing structure.

i would recommend you go on youtube and check reviews for each...but this one doesnt look too good for airflow coming from the front...

Case really depends on what you like/want/need...

I would recommend you stick to a mid tower chassis...that way even tho your current board is micro atx and it will look a bit wierd in there...later on when you ugprade your core components you can select a nice ATX size motherboard and have a lot of room for components and cable and stuff.

Also, the PSU i linked is fully modular, and i know the phanteks is easy to build in and has nice cable management beacause i'm using one very similar to it and it works very well and i like it a lot...

GO with your feel...look at cases reviews and prices on what's available...stick to corsair, cooler master, phanteks, NZXT, fractal design, and MAYBE thermaltake...

People are starving for new tech...cards havn't launched in almost 2 years by the time they'll launch...planet in crysis...factory closed for months...evertyhing cost more every day...lots of shit go out of stock and or cost a lot more...why would nvidia give us anything...i think (i'm SURE) the prices on these cards will be very prohibitive...AND they will STILL run out of stock everywhere all the time.

NO NO NO, he meant for the 9900K (WHICH WOULD BE A STUPID BUY) you would indeed need a new motherboard for it and eveyrhing which would be stupid cause you don't need it.

your curent 6 core CPU will do the job perfectly FINE, trust me.

Go on with the list i suggested and you wont be disapointed.
