RTX 2080 air cooling is like a turbine.

Only when I started testing RTX games, did I hear the full power of my RTX 2080 fans.

I am almost certain it's the fans of the RTX GPU but I could be wrong.

Is it suppose to be so loud?

It does monotone burst with the fans.

Does loud noise for 1 or 2 seconds, then no noise for 1 or 2 seconds.

So it's hard to hear what Lara is saying when playing like that.

 

Is this normal?

Is there a way to make things cooler? Like even turning on the AC could help?

The 2080 is a loud card but you can set a fan curve on msi after burner

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

stock coolers aren't enough to tame these gpus you really need a big 3 slot 3 gpu fan config to get them under control on air. 240mm of rad space will also do it

I don't understand.

Can I replace the fans on the GPU?

Where do I put the radiator? Or if I can replace it?

you'd need a with a different cooler not just fans

a radiator would mean water cooling it or using an AIO

Try setting a custom fan curve with Afterburner or E-Leet, smoothing it out will at least make it less noticeable. 

The stock fans are typically why you avoid Founders cards and go for twin/triple fan cooler designers. Founders cards are more something you get if you're doing a custom water loop. 

 

If you want to water cool the card there are options like

I think I have 3 fans, though the card is upside down it's hard to see.

I have a Gigabyte card.

Yes, I have Windforce 8G, it has 3 fans.

it is loud. but you reallllly shouldnt hear it THAT much, unless you dont use headphones?

stuff is cool. stuff that has fancy lighting is cooler. stuff that has fancy lighting and works is the coolest.

 

i game so i know a bit abt gaming tech, not much abt professional tech.

 

writing this as i finish a 3 hour D2 sesh so excuse anything wrong.
