5700 XT or 2070 Super make a lot of sense for 1080p and 1440p gaming at the moment.

But it really comes down to what you want to play and at what settings.

i do like the look of the 5700xt its in my price range and it seems pretty powerful, ill mainly be playing stuff like heavily modded skyrim se, fallout 4, doom eternal, and dying light. P.S my current graphics card is a 1050ti

Rx 580 still holds up well today in games and is a good option for budget builds or buying second hand. If you have a bit more to spend though you're probably better getting something like the 5600XT for 1080p. Probably don't need a 5700 series unless your playing at 1440p

A 5700XT (or 2070S) would be a beast for 1080p high refresh-rate, but even something like a 1660S would be a great performer for 1080p.

If you don't feel like you absolutely need an upgrade now, we're likely to see next-gen graphics cards around September, so it'd probably be worth waiting for them.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+
