New 2.1 speakers and sub

BigChimp97

Hi guys

I'm in the market to be buying a new pair of speakers to replace my old ones, and decided that I wanted a subwoofer too, so could anybody give me some ideas to what I should be looking at getting? I've got about £50 to spend, I know it's not much but it's what I've got.

Thanks!!

I mainly use my headphones when I'm playing games (talking to friends) etc, just wanted something so I could sit back listen to music or play games, when nobody's online

I think any Logitech in that price range is going to be quite nice, like the Z523.

My Z-3 (got them when my brother moved out, they are old) are perfect for electro and dance music, and has very good sound compared to what they cost!

any Logitech 2.1 set should be fine and they cost less than 50 euro here so they gotta be cheaper there. the .1 means the sub is included.

Read a lot about them and they seem amazing, it's just that they're double my price range :(

I've read that they don't perform well with low bass, I was also looking for a subwoofer :(

Good subwoofers with low bass are expensive.  :(

Is that a statement or a question? :P

I'm not a huge speaker guru, tbh. I personally think buying used is one of the best options as ebay.co.uk always has a wide selection of used speakers (more so that 'Murica, believe it or not). These Panasonics + this amp look like a good option to me. I have a similar 3-way model I got at an estate sale that's pretty amazing. Bi-amping really helps achieve good lower frequency response at a low cost, and I wouldn't dare use a subwoofer with mine, so these should be good too.

Looking at the pictures for the first time... they're kinda dirty, but they did used to belong to a much more expensive system.

If you need SOMETHING, and you need a subwoofer, just grab one of the all-in-ones mentioned above.
