What Will Happen When Amd/nvidia Reach 9990/gtx990

Nit3Rid3R

What do you think will happen? Will they re-brand all the old cards? Will they go for a 10000/1000 series card? Or will they just attempt to merge companies and then get sucked into a black hole.

i doubt they will merge but i think they will rebrand the cards like maybe instead of gtx they will change it and maybe add another number and instead of raedeon they will probably do the same.

I'm tired of numbers, so hopefully they will go back to having cool names. Like the titan for instance, that sounds epic.

They will just change how they name cards.  I still have an nvida 9800gt.  They went to the gtx 200 series after that.  After 200 they jumped to 400 and from their they have gone in logical order; 4-5-6.  But then they made the titan so who knows what they will do in the future.

But it will be a pain to remember all the card tiers, especially for AMD.

Maybe they'll finally quit using those confusing numbers entirely.  I can't wait for the Toxic GTX Ultra and Dragonfire Ultimate Titanium cards featuring 64 GB of VRAM, and 500,000 stream processors each!

The Nvidia good, better, and great model along side the AMD satisfactory, honourable, and boss model.

Keep the first 2 numbers and colour code them...

I'd buy a Nvidia GTX Red 10.  (1070)

I think team green will drop the GTX and then start new with the numbers, but as for AMD I have no idea.

AMD should come out with a bad ass name to rival the Titan. Something like MAMMOTH....awe yeah!

I think Nvidia will come up with another brand name like GeFX 180 and start the numbers all over again.

The naming has never really bothered me but I kind of hope NVIDIA go to 1000 series, A GeForce GTX 1060 and so on seems interesting unless it's me being a little weird

They will prob change their naming scheme. Nvidia might change to a 4 number scheme and AMD might change to a 5 number scheme.
