Can a gpu fit inside a slim case

DGuo20653

So I recently remembered that I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3400f in my closet and I wanted to take everything out and buy new parts to put into the case (which would be dedicated for gaming). I'm wondering if a full sized gpu or even a mini one (preferably not low profile) can fit inside it as I want to be able to play the newer games without lagging my ass off. Any help would be great.

Welcome to the forum! I think for something like that you might need a low profile GPU.

Low profile graphics cards are as good as you'll get, and the 1650 super is the most powerful low profile GPU right now (expensive as hell though, so only spend the extra money if you truly love the small form factor)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Only low profile GPUs fit inside that case.

Just look at the PCIe slots, it's obvious.

it will work, but you are going to keep the lid opened because card is too big for a case to close. You will have to mod either a card or case. I think it is smarter and better buy a new case and put motherboard in there, or find a card that can fit in that case (low profile). But low profile cards have a low clock and worst cooling system

Main: Intel i7-10700KF, RTX 3080 Ventus 3X OC, 16 GB 3900MHz CL15 B-Die, Windows 11 Pro

Third PC: Intel i5-10400F, RTX 2080 Super Gaming X Trio, 16GB 3000MHz Timitec, Windows 10 Pro

Second PC: Ryzen 7 2700, RTX 2070 Super STRIX, 16GB 3200MHz CL15, Windows 10 Pro

First PC: Intel i5-3570, GTX 1060 Windforce, 16GB G-Skill 1600MHz, Windows 10 Pro

Hmmm Laptop: Pentium M 1.6GHz, iGPU, 2 GB 800MHz DDR2, Windows 7 SP1

Great help. I have the Q300L in mind as I want to have a small form factor pc that can run many games on a budget of about 800 pounds / 1000 dollars.

If thats the case, I'll probably buy a new case so it can fit more a powerful gpu. Thanks for the help

I was looking for something better than the 1650 but there aren't many low profile cards. Thanks for the suggestion

It's a good idea, though hopefully your motherboard isn't proprietary. Unfortunately the power connectors for HP motherboards usually are, so you should look for an adapter.
