Hey guys, I want to ask, I tried the senns hd 518 vs the m50 and I found the 518 to be much better but a LOT of people say that the m50 sound awesome, is it because of my xperia z or is this just a personal taste?

The M50 is "popular" and most people who buy one have never tried other good headphones. It all comes down to personal taste for what you like best, but most of us audio snobs don't like the M50 very much.

my M50 revealed its true potential after 2 months of normal-heavy usage (hearing to different musics).
i superbly like the sound quality but its not the most comfortable headphones for my head ... but i still like it personally :P

When 2 things meet each other, Quantum stuff happens.

IMO, reviews are posted as guides to help you decide, not to MAKE you decide, lol

Like said above, all should come to personal taste and preference. You wouldn't want to spend quite amount of money on something you don't like, would you?

If, for example, I like a $10 headphone more than a $100 internet-crazed-high-ratings-big-reviews headphone (not likely to happen in real life), then I would still go for that $10, even though I have the budget to go for the $100 one....

It's funny because I just got a $10 headphone I like more than M50's...

Personally I like the sound of the M50's but the comfort ruined it for me. I then discovered Shure SRH440's, which sounded even better to me, was more comfortable with 840 pads, cheaper, and had a removable cable.

Reviews: JBL J33i   M50s   SRH440   Soundmagic PL50
