Am I the only one who doesn't like titanfall?

madman1876
Go to solution Solved by madman1876,

What kind of silly question is that? Unless they made the theoretical perfect game that appeals to everyone at the same time, a lot of people aren't going to like it!

I haven't tried it myself.

Perfect Response (Y)

It's fun, but the Beta is very lacking in game modes and if the full game only offers COD style game modes, it's unlikely I will pay for full price or even at all.

I'm very interested in the game, but I CANT buy it unless it's on steam.

so unless EA stops being a crybaby about valve taking a small cut of the profits, I'm not going to be able to get it.

No point in complaining. You could have simply installed Origin and signed up for the free beta, but you hate Origin so.... :P

Yeah I really don't get all these comments about the game being like COD. I haven't played any of the COD games in the last 8 years, but I know for sure they don't have mechs and parkour. *scratches head*

I don't get the problem people have with origin and I dont see why EA should have to let Valve have a slice.

To me, Origin is no different from steam in the early days when people where complaining about Valve leaving Sierra

it's not so much that, it's that you cant walk into say, target and buy an origin card to add funds to your wallet. you HAVE to use a creditcard or paypal to buy anything there. (which I have neither)

I'm loving it.

I'd disagree that without titans noone would play. I prefer the none-titan gameplay, there is so much freedom of movement!

Titans are fun to be in, but I'm faster and more agile (and a better player) not being in one.

Many people seem to believe its like COD with mechs but I am not a COD player so i have to ask. Without titans how different is the game?

Lot faster paced.

I've met maybe 1 "camper" so far. You can run, jump, double jump, wallrun, or do that all back to back.

It makes the game far faster as everyone is either jumping from roof to roof, or barreling around in a titan.

Even without the titans you still have that large amount of movement and the inclusion of bots also makes the games seem more full and active as you have groups of 4-5 bots as well as the players.

I was a PC then Xbox CoD player from 4 onwards and it does feel a lot different. My mate who can't stand CoD loves it.

I do think its due to the faster game play and the increased movement freedom.

extremely poor optimizations is all

the fish didnt actually tax hardware that much xD

from what i remember they are still using the same old cod 4 engine,

textures are still overall bad

I personally love it! I especially enjoy the movement system, when i went back to battlefield i felt something was missing.

I also find the AI bots quite fun just for the atmosphere of the battle.

Yea...

Plus i have no idea why the game install is like 30+ GB despite having atrocious textures... Mabe the developers accidentally just bundled all their porn with it.

The beta was only about 15GB when I downloaded it.

Looked pretty good to me. Ran totally smooth at constant 60fps 1080p ultra settings. All movements were smooth, both as pilot and in a titan.

Also...um... you're supposed to run across walls and jump around. That's the whole point and what makes it different from all those other cookie-cutter games you mentioned. (I love Crysis 3 so no hate there, just sayin...)
