Unfortunately, I've run into some problems with this case. I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me answer some of my questions. This is my first time building a computer, so forgive me if I ask anything that may seem obvious.

1. Part of the 3 pin connector seems to be broken. Could I get a confirmation on this and whether if I could still use it? I see only 2 pins and wires on it. (Picture below, sorry for the bad quality)

2. Any suggested LED lights to use? I have looked at Bitfenix alchemy strips but how many should I need to light up the inside? Also, how would I go about setting this up? One of the case fans seems to be blocking the way.

3. Could anyone suggest where I could get a SATA power connector for my SSD on the tray? The cables my psu provided won't fit (It bends and is blocked by the psu shroud)

Thanks in advance!

1. That looks like the fan extension provided. Check to make sure you have 4 adapters plugged in the fan controller. 3 for the fans and one for the power.

If that checks out than its an extension and you can pull that out.

2. Those strips are good. Just use the adhesvive to put it where you want and route the cable for power.

3. Sometimes using that tray isn't the best for some PSUs data power cables. You don't want to put any on the connection.

Hope this helps

I had to awe when I saw this full black H440.

I know, it's not that "eye catching" with no colored trims, but for me is perfect. It's impressive what a simple paint can do. I found it on reddit, this guy(owner) has an image guide on how to remove the trims here:

[Meta] Guide for removing trim on H440

Ok, so speaking of the side LED issue... I got my replacement in the mail today, and it is back to its old fabulous glowy self. About 15 minutes to install.

Me too it would seem. Mine seems to have gone really dim and developed a sort of blue tint.. weird.

On the white and black version I got for my daughter, the logo has gone dim, but on the green and black version I got for my wife, has not gone dim yet. I also have the orange and black version and the red and black version, but have not taken them out of the boxes.

I was just putting my build together and I cannot fit the Asus R9 280 into the NZXT H440 Red and Black edition. How did you remove the hard drive bays to have enough room to install it? Please help me this is my first build, and I cannot for the life of me understand how to fit the GPU in :(

There are two thumb screws on the HDD bays on the right side of the case, just unscrew them and push up just a little and the cages come right out.

Just started a minor mod on my H440, will post some pics when done. I'll probably be finished by monday at the latest

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

I can't get you guys any pics, and it's not much of a mod TBH. I'm just painting it, something that's done relatively frequently

There are 3 screws in the back that need to be undone. After that, there are LEDs hot glued into brackets that need to be removed. I just sorta pried at them, i don't recommend that though. If you undo those screws and the wires, you'll be able to remove the PSU shroud.

If you want to take out the acrylic letters and the backplate, you have to scrape off some melted bits. It's fairly easy, just be careful if you do it, it's a tad risky. Also pulling the letters off requires some prying, be careful to not crack them.

Hello,

I have just bought my new computer with this case and got i7 4790k processor in it, but it runs very hot and need to buy a better cooler. Which cooler would you guys recommend and what temperatures do you get with that cooler. I have been choosing between H110, H105 (dont know if I should mount them on top or front) or Noctua NH-D15.

I believe the H110 is too big for the case :/ My brother bought one and found out it was too big for his BitFenix Shinobi so it just dangles... not good ahaha.

Edit: H100 fits I think, perhaps have a look at the NZXT coolers?
