What video card do you have in your laptop? You can set the outboard display to be 144hz as long as the card in the laptop can support it

Depends on what the HDMI/Displayport/USB Type C with DP ports in the laptop supports.

The resolution or frequency of the laptop does not decide the resolution or frequency of an external monitor.

That is determined by what the ports and videocard can output.

Are you connecting your monitor to the Razer Core or the laptop?

EDIT: reason I ask is because the Razer Core will for sure support 144Hz, the Blade Stealth I am not sure about (but it should)
