Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB

So I'm looking to buy this case for my next build. Anyone out there already have the case and what are your thoughts on it?

Hey there. I don't personally own this case, but I pulled a few notes from other people's reviews:

  • Large space to build in.
  • Relatively easy cable management.
  • Good case for liquid cooling setups, subpar for air cooling setups.
  • Airflow isn't very good, with little space for fans to pull in fresh air.
  • A couple people had issues with the included screws.
  • Included manual isn't very helpful.
  • Thermaltake's customer support isn't very helpful.

Interesting about the air flow and cooling. I'll have to look into that a bit more but still kinda sold with doing air cooling with this case. Thank you for the reply!

A better alternative for this would be the Cooelrmaster H500P Mesh. The original H500P was less restrictive than this case, and was ripped apart by reviewers since it advertised itself as "high airflow". The Level 20 GT ARGB would be worse than the original H500P, which you can see how that compares to the Mesh version below:

Airflow: This is the obvious one, and the results are in the thermal section below. Mesh is what Cooler Master’s fancy 200mm LED fans deserve. The acrylic panel in the front of the case has been replaced by metal mesh with another fine mesh screen backing it, almost exactly the same as in the HAF X that we revisited. The filter layer concerned us, because it’s not strictly necessary and could restrict airflow. We removed it for some thermal tests to see whether it actually does (again, check the section below), but we wouldn’t recommend doing this--it’s glued in place, and it won’t look as good after it’s been peeled off once.

cm h500p airflow test

cm h500p mesh cpu only

cm h500p mesh gpu only

Dang and thats good air flow for sure. Only problem which will cause me not to is its a mid tower. My first build was a mid and then i went to a full. I wont go back sadly. its a stubborn thing with a side of running other drives in my case for things. But appreciate the information as maybe I'll have to look outside of Thermaltake full towers for a change.
