Which is precisely why so many laptop OEMs don't even bother with Iris graphics. IntelHD is sufficient for general notebook tasks and Iris isn't powerful enough to game well on, so they don't even bother with them. Apple used them in the past since MBPs need to be able to hardware accelerate tasks like video editing and 3D graphics to a higher degree than IntelHD could to offset the high asking prices. 

 

That being said, any advances in low power, integrated graphics solutions are greatly appreciated.

Ryzen's too new unfortunately. They started developing this more than a year ago, wasn't an option back then. GPD aren't a Dell who can likely spin a new board in a month or 2 and throw it in an existing chassis...

I definitely imagine they will consider AMD in a future model though.

Agreed, you dont even really need 1080p on a 6 inch screen, 720p is fine

The resolution is fine. The lower resolution probably helps with battery life, and certainly with performance in games.
Not to mention it is technically better then 768.

I always wanted one of these kinda things to play old PC games that are no longer hardware demanding, but never made it to the Switch/3DS/Vita/PSP (or if they did its a inferior version)
Like right now I would totally play Trails from Zero on that thing. (A JRPG that never got localized, but a few days ago a fan translation for the PC version with various gameplay enhancements was released) - Cause I love playing these kinda RPGs on a handheld when I don't feel like sitting at my computer desk.
