Good Antivirus

Hello 

So i have just upgraded to windows 10 , and currently downloading all the drivers that i need and i was wondering what is a good free antivirus or should i keep the windows 10 defender ?

Windows defender and malwarebytes.

Windows Defender has always worked well for me.

But then again, I run other security measurements (like script/adblock) stuff too, so that's another layer of defense.

 

Plus, not downloading stuff from shady places helps with protecting your system from viruses too.

Windows defender is all I use. Don't need to pay for anti-virus'.

Honestly, I use Win Defender and Malwarebytes. I also just try to use a bit of common sense when downloading. Although if you need some help with that, you can use a file scanning site like Virustotal

Personally I can't stand Windows Defender, even though it has improved. I have used Bitdefender Total Security for 3 years and I'm pretty happy with that.

I've never really heard of any free ones that work effectively, so if you really want to protect yourself I'd suggest either buying one or sticking with Windows' built-in features and common sense.

 

Kaspersky and BitDefender are both quite good and from what I've read, they consistently rank very high when it comes to detection of new malware. I've been using BitDefender for private and business purposes for over a year now and I like their service.
