No Signal after switching from AMD to NVIDIA

No Signal after switching from AMD (RX 480) to NVIDIA (GTX 1070)

 

some things that might help to anyone willing to help me with this:

-No NVIDIA drivers installed (still old AMD drivers installed)

-CAPS LOCK on keyboard is working

-I´ve tried diffrent cables (VGA,HDMI,DISPLAYPORT)

-Boot LED sometimes lights up

Uninstall AMD drivers. DDU wipe preferred. Install nvidia ones.

Should i take my ssd out and uninstall the old drivers then install the new nvidia drivers on a different PC?

Do you not have the AMD card?

Okay, boot in safe mode, download DDU if you don't have it, run it. Reboot and install nvidia drivers & should be normal. Should be fixed. I did it myself once before.

How do i boot in safe mode? (Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming)

and do you mean on the different PC?

If it easier which it may be cause AMD doesn't have igpu to see screen from motherboard input.

You can't boot into windows or enter your bios right?

I´dont know i cant see anything (i dont have a igpu)

I know. Mashing F8 and del no splash screen still?

Only thing to do is clean install windows to rid of the drivers if you have nothing you care to lose or use another drive for OS or use an USB media creation tool and try repair this PC option to get in safe mode to DDU wipe them.

If they're getting no splash screen from the BIOS/UEFI, Windows literally has nothing to do with it.

I will try it later and my system specs are,

ASUS STRIX 1070 8G

RYZEN 5 2600

AORUS X470 ULTRA GAMING

2x 8GB 2400MHZ PATRIOT VIPER 4

KINGSTON 120GB (ONLY FOR WINDOWS)

My Boot LED sometimes lights up

Yeah if you can't into bios it wouldn't be windows anything I didn't understand that part.

Can you try different RAM at all?

or like @Godlygamer23 said try the card in another build.

My "no signal" was one stick of RAM dead before, however I could get to bios.

Have you tried other ports or cables such as HDMI & DP?

Yes i tried other ports and different cables.

If i start my PC then my Monitor starts too but it still has no signal.

It's okay. I'd try just a ram cause if the PC starts and no signal display. My case on a ryzen was dead stick of ram if you can try it.

No way to get into bios is very odd though. No signal should still be able to get in bios splash screen. If you don't have any other ram try one stick at a time to see if you can get into bios.

I'm sorry. I'm running out of ideas.

Can you get to bios with SSD unplugged?

GPU in a different slot?

The main thing to try is a different build like try and put it in a other PC with no video card drivers installed unless they are nvidia. To make sure the card works first.

Did you get display/ bios and windows with the amd card?
